Society Members & Guests
Marilen The Octopus Whisperer
Marilen, christened by the society as the octopus whisperer, was said to have learned her talent after an octopus stole her lunch as a child, only to return it neatly plated with sea herbs and an apology written in bubbles. Now she roams the Soaking Society’s halls with an entourage of mischievous cephalopods, translating their gossip and teaching them impeccable high tea manners.
Elias The Apprentice
Raised on sea-soaked stories told by his legendary captain-grandfather, Elias developed an uncanny habit of charting imaginary currents in the margins of his notebooks—currents that later proved to match real ocean shifts with eerie accuracy. Though a dedicated apprentice under Thaddeus Tidewell, he carries a mischievous curiosity that suggests he might someday uncover currents even the Chroniclers have never dared to name.
Ina The Sea Guardian
Ina moves through the halls of The Soaking Society with a grace so fluid and uncanny that many whisper she must be descended from mermaids, though no one has ever been able to prove it. Fiercely protective of every sea creature in her care, she wields her compassion—and her quiet, tidal strength—like a shield against any threat that dares approach her waters.
Silas The Mermaid Princess
Silas, the sea’s most unpredictable young princess, sneaks into The Soaking Society whenever underwater palace life grows dull, trading royal etiquette lessons for spa mischief, octopus tea parties, and the occasional unauthorized whirlpool with the sea horses.
